Diri, Lawrence, others deserve National Honor-Nengi James tells Tinubu

A social advocate, National Coordinator of the Association of Rural Chiefs for Peace and Development, Chief Nengi James has called on the president of the federal Republic of Nigeria to as a matter of urgency Honour the Governor of Bayelsa state,Sen. Douye Diri, the Deputy Governor Sen. Lawrence Ewhrudjakpo and King Bubaraye Dakolo, Chairman of the Bayelsa State Traditional Council with a national Honour.
In a statement made available to Tarakirivoice today, the Peace Advocate noted that the recognition would acknowledge the governor’s efforts in positioning the state and the Niger Delta for the Blue Economy, a policy that harnesses the Atlantic Ocean’s wealth.
Nengi reiterated that, as a recipient of the Order of the Niger (OON) National Award himself, he believe that Governor Diri and his deputy, Lawrence Ewhrudjakpor, deserve national awards for their commitment to the Blue Economy policy.
Furthermore, he urged President Tinubu to consider other notable individuals in Bayelsa State for national awards, including King Bubaraye Dakolo, Chairman of the Bayelsa State Traditional Council.

I, Chief Nengi James, National Coordinator of the Association of Rural Chiefs for Peace and Development, am advocating for President Bola Tinubu to honor Governor Douye Diri of Bayelsa State with a prestigious national award.
This recognition would acknowledge the governor’s efforts in positioning the state and the Niger Delta for the Blue Economy, a policy that harnesses the Atlantic Ocean’s wealth.
As a recipient of the Order of the Niger (OON) National Award myself, I believe that Governor Diri and his deputy, Lawrence Ewhrudjakpor, deserve national awards for their commitment to the Blue Economy policy.
This commitment is evident in the establishment of a dedicated ministry and strategic investments in road infrastructure.
