Wike Reportedly Threatens Man Over Message After Clash With Naval Officer — Adeyanju Deji Alleges

By Passman Akpos

Human rights activist and lawyer, Adeyanju Deji, has alleged that the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, called and threatened one of his friends after receiving a private message regarding his recent altercation with a naval officer in Abuja.

Deji made the claim on his social media handle, stating:

> “One of my friends sent Wike this message yesterday after his humiliation by the courageous young officer, and he called my friend insulting him and even threatened to arrest and deal with him. Wike is frustrated. He is badly behaved and power drunk. To him, power is only for abuse.”

The incident, which has continued to generate massive reactions online, comes in the wake of widespread criticism directed at the FCT Minister following his confrontation with a naval officer who had allegedly tried to enforce an order from his superior.

Adding comic relief, another remarked:

A particularly hilarious post read:

And another concluded:

> “That your friend sabi find trouble. My brother Chukwuemeka Michael Ugah, Nigerians can find trouble oh! 🤣🤣🤣 I know he used that 40-seconds call to insult the person that sent him that message.”
