The Niger-Delta Ex-agitators on Monday submitted a letter to the National Working Committee of the ruling All Progressives Congress, in the party’s National Secretariat, at 40, Blantyre Crescent, Wuse 2, Abuja.

The letter that was addressed to the Chairman of the party, Abdullahi ADAMU National Chairman of the ruling All Progressives Congress, that was made available to Tarakirivoice was signed by Aso Tambo, National Chairman of the phase Two of the presidential Amnesty Programme.

Recall, Tarakirivoice reported the protest of the Ex-agitators at the National Assembly over their unpaid six months stipends by the presidential Amnesty Programme, led by Maj. Gen. Barry Tariye Ndiomu.

The Ex-agitators of phase One, Two and Three advised the ruling All Progressives Congress’ National Working Committee to urgently attend to them as issues, if not quickly attended to, could degenerate to another crisis in the Niger-Delta that will slow down National Progress.

” The All Progressives Congress has worked tirelessly to see the wholesome development of the country and this development is bordered on the economic prosperity of Nigeria, also the economic prosperity of Nigeria depends on the peace in the Niger-Delta” the group said.

The statement reads in part, “Urgent plea to meet with the National working committee of the All Progressives Congress on matters bordering on National Security upon suppression of the Niger-Delta Ex-agitators by The Interim Administrator of the presidential Amnesty Programme.

We the above named body, that comprises of the leadership of the First, Second and Third phases of the Coalition of the Niger-Delta Ex-agitators of the presidential Amnesty Programme.

Sir, we urgently need your attention and audience to discuss and bring to the public notice on matters bordering on National Security.

Issues, if not quickly attended to, could degenerate to another crisis in the Niger-Delta that will slow down National progress.

The All Progressives Congress has work tirelessly to see the wholesome development of the country and this development is bordered on the economic prosperity of Nigeria, also, the economic prosperity of Nigeria depends on the peace in the Niger-Delta at this point in time.

Sir, the activities currently in the presidential Amnesty Programme could truncate the relative peace presently enjoyed in the region.

As law abiding and peace loving citizen of the federal Republic of Nigeria, we plead to urgently meet with you to avoid the pending danger that will disrupt the incoming administration of the All Progressives Congress, ably led by the President-elect, Sen. Ahmed Bola Tinubu on matters concerning development in his tenure” the statement added.
