Bayelsa Newly sworn-in Community Chief gives Free Jamb scholarships,50 percent school fees payment for top 3 applicants

The Newly sworn in Chief of Egbemo-Angalabiri,  in Ekeremor Local Government Area of Bayelsa state, Chief David Atiye PhD, has promised the indigen of the community, especially those in Orutala compound of the community, free 3o Jamb slots and school fees payment of up to 5o percent of the top three of the 30 applicants.

Recall, last week, as gathered by Tarakirivoice,The Amananawei of Egbemo-Angalabiri Domain ‘The Mayor of Alabini’ HRH J.I.M Ogbolo Inaugurated the newly elected  Compound Chief’s of Egbemo-Angalabiri.

HRH J.I.M Ogbolo applauded the Chief’s from the Idoro-Idumu, Doweifolu and Orutala extraction over the successful inauguration ceremony.

EGBEMO-ANGALABIRI COMPOUND CHIEF’S, FROM THE THREE (3) COMPOUNDS INCLUDES :

1). Chief Barr. Deme Kolomo- Idoro-Idumu IIII

2). Chief Osita Ambaka – Doweifulo IIII

3). Chief David E. Atiye PhD – Orutala II

The Mayor of Alabini in his remarks thanked the people of Egbemo-Angalabiri for having confidence in his administration as the Amananawei of Egbemo-Angalabiri by following his instructions and mandate by giving a massive, free and fair vote during the last Compound Chief’s election to produce these cream of charismatic and dogged Chief’s of credible characters.

In his advice, he call on the newly inaugurated Chief’s to be grassroot friendly and always having the mindset of leadership for all, to work hand in hand to make sure prosperity is been restored for all Egbemo-Angalabiri Sons/Daughters by giving them the mandate to be their representative in the Compound Elections.

The Mayor of Alabini wishes the newly inaugurated Chief’s God’s divine wisdom and understanding to pilot the affairs of the domain that will result to the prosperity of the community.

The Compound Chief  representing Orutala Compound in Egbemo-Angalabiri Domain, High Chief (Dr) David Atiye, has officially flagged off the 2024/2025 Jamb Scholarship Scheme for Orutala compound students in Egbemo-Angalabiri Domain.

The official flag off was done in Yenagoa at the early hours of today, by the Board of the Atiye’s Foundation Scholarship Scheme led by its Chairman, Timothy Kingdom.

The Foundation Chairman disclosed that High Chief David Atiye has extended the scholarship scheme by supporting 2025/26 WAEC/NECO Orutala indigenous students that will seat for the exams next year by paying 30% of their WAEC/NECO enrollment fee immediately after the Free Jamb scholarship.

He advised applicants to avoid double Registration as this will lead to disqualification, stating that the website would remain open till December 31, 2024 while the award of scholarship will hold early in 2025 by giving the beneficiaries their forms to fill.

According to the report, criteria for qualifications include:
(1) You must be an indigene of Orutala compound
(2) You must have your NIN
(3) You must have your SSCE: WAEC or NECO.

In his remarks, the Board Secretary, Samuel Tundighe Polokeduo, stated that the process is free and no student should pay money to anyone or group of people to benefit from the scheme, advising all interested person to call or text the designated numbers below to be among the 30 beneficiaries:
