A disturbing scene near the Zone 16 headquarters of the Nigerian Police Force in Yenagoa, Bayelsa State, on Tuesday Afternoon has triggered a wave of public concern after an unidentified policewoman was spotted consuming multiple bottles of beer while still in uniform.
According to our correspondent, who was at the popular Bolex Car Wash—just a stone’s throw from the Zone 16 station—the officer had her table crowded with emptied bottles of Heineken, reportedly consumed right at the spot. The moment was captured as the officer continued drinking openly in full view of residents and passersby.
The sight has raised serious questions about professionalism, discipline, and the potential danger posed to the public when officers appear intoxicated while still officially on duty.
