Ezekiel Daniel Declares ‘You Too Small’ To Ogunboss, Fires Fresh Salvos At Tompolo And Pondi

A fresh war of words has erupted in the Niger Delta, as outspoken commentator Ezekiel Perela Daniel Osia launched a blistering verbal attack on Paul Eres, popularly known as General Ogunboss, while also taking aim at Government Ekpemupolo, popularly known as Tompolo, former militant leader Boyloaf, and Chief Kestin Pondi.

In a fiery video statement, Daniel described his intervention as a response to what he called “Ogunboss’ stupidity,” before turning his attention to an alleged political ambition by Pondi ahead of the 2031 Delta State governorship election.

Daniel claimed he had seen an APC-branded cap or insignia bearing Pondi’s name and suggesting that Pondi was preparing to contest the Delta governorship in 2031.

His response was blunt.

“Kestin, let me tell you, you go just waste your money,” Daniel declared, invoking the Ijaw expression “Tamarau Namene,” which he explained as meaning “God is hearing.”

Daniel went further, predicting that Pondi would never become governor of Delta State.

‘I Stopped Your American Trip’

Daniel then recalled what he described as his previous confrontation with Pondi, claiming that he had once stopped an American trip involving the Delta politician despite people allegedly doubting that he could do so.

“A lot of people dey laugh say I no go fit do am, but I stopped it,” he claimed.

He also referenced the tenure of Chief Dennis Brutus Otuaro as Administrator of the Presidential Amnesty Programme, alleging that when Otuaro’s tenure expired, there were expectations within Pondi’s camp that he would be reappointed.

Daniel claimed that he publicly predicted that the reappointment would not happen.

According to him, the alleged prediction eventually came to pass.

‘Tompolo Will Not Resign Tantita Contract’

Daniel also turned his attention to Tompolo and the widely discussed pipeline surveillance operations associated with Tantita Security Services.

He claimed that Tompolo had previously indicated that he would resign from the pipeline surveillance contract, but argued that the alleged resignation had not occurred.

“August done pass, them done resign am? No!” Daniel said.

He then declared that such an outcome would not happen.

Daniel Challenges Ogunboss

Returning to Ogunboss, Daniel questioned why his critic had allegedly remained silent during earlier disputes involving Tompolo and only began speaking publicly when peace efforts were reportedly underway.

“When the fight dey go on why you nor open your mouth since?” Daniel asked.

He claimed that Tompolo had travelled extensively across Bayelsa, meeting political leaders, traditional rulers and other stakeholders as discussions continued over ways to end the disagreements.

Daniel argued that Ogunboss should have spoken earlier if he genuinely wanted to address the issues.

Allegations Over Bayelsans

Daniel subsequently raised allegations involving several Bayelsans, including Patrick, Charles Kurobo and Kareowei Bala.

He alleged that Patrick was killed earlier in the year by a person he identified as Bodmas, whom he described as being associated with Tompolo.

He also claimed that Kurobo and Bala had allegedly been taken away and remained in Oporoza.

These allegations were made by Daniel and have not been independently established.

Daniel further argued that the Niger Delta youth community should not allow any individual to exercise what he described as a monopoly over pipeline surveillance opportunities.

He linked the issue to the origin of pipeline surveillance discussions under former President Goodluck Jonathan, arguing that opportunities should not become concentrated in the hands of one individual.

‘Physically And Spiritually, You Too Small’

The confrontation became increasingly intense as Daniel issued a direct warning to Ogunboss.

“Physically, spiritually, you too small,” he declared.

He also invoked Zechariah 4:7, quoting the biblical reference to the “ancient mountain” being made plain before declaring that he would continue confronting what he described as wrongdoing.

Daniel further made dramatic claims about his alleged spiritual confrontation with Tompolo, saying that Tompolo had consulted what he described as “evil deity” against him.

Those statements are Daniel’s personal claims and could not be independently verified.

Daniel Questions Ogunboss’ Community Presence

Daniel’s attack then shifted to Ogunboss’ own background.

Addressing the people of the Ijaw nation and Bayelsans, Daniel challenged Ogunboss to return to his community, Peremabiri, if he was as powerful and fearless as he portrayed himself.

Daniel alleged that Ogunboss had been unable to freely return to his community for more than six years after a man identified as Amagben allegedly burnt his house, destroyed his rice farm and chased him out of the community.

He further alleged that Ogunboss subsequently stayed at the Bayelsa State Government House Boys’ Quarters before, according to Daniel, Governor Douye Diri helped stabilise his situation.

Daniel contrasted Ogunboss’ alleged situation with that of Boyloaf.

“Boyloaf goes in and out of his community any time he likes,” he said, challenging Ogunboss to do the same.

Daniel also questioned Tompolo’s relationship with Ogunboss, describing Ogunboss as a supporter who, in his view, had become vocal because of anticipated benefits from the Tantita pipeline surveillance arrangement.

He alleged that Ogunboss was a “fairweather friend” who could eventually abandon Tompolo.

Daniel further claimed that the Tantita contract would eventually end and alleged that Ogunboss’s support was connected to the contract.

The claim about the future of the contract could not be independently verified.

Personal Threats Escalate

The statement took an even more personal turn when Daniel responded to what he described as warnings from Ogunboss about making another video concerning Boyloaf.

“Coward, no need to warn Boyloaf about you wanting to do video, go ahead,” Daniel said.

He then threatened to publicly disclose sensitive personal information about Ogunboss if the confrontation continued.

The remarks have added another explosive dimension to an already heated dispute.

Daniel ended his statement by invoking the popular proverb that “whoever is in a glass house should not throw stones.”

He claimed to have information concerning Ogunboss which he could release publicly if, according to him, Ogunboss continued attacking him.

Niger Delta Debate Takes A More Dangerous Turn

The latest confrontation has once again exposed the deep divisions and competing interests surrounding political influence, community leadership, pipeline surveillance contracts and the activities of prominent Niger Delta figures.

Daniel’s statement combines political predictions, allegations of wrongdoing, personal attacks and spiritual rhetoric, creating a highly charged public confrontation that could trigger further reactions from the individuals mentioned.

For now, the allegations contained in Daniel’s statement remain claims made by him and have not been independently verified.

The growing exchange also raises concerns about the increasingly personal nature of disagreements among influential voices in the Niger Delta, particularly when disputes involving political ambitions, economic opportunities and regional leadership spill into public threats and accusations.

Whether the latest outburst will provoke responses from Ogunboss, Tompolo, Boyloaf or Kestin Pondi remains to be seen.
