Gov. Uba Sani of Kaduna State has appointed the Emir of Kauru, Alhaji Ya’u Shehu-Usman, as the Amirul Hajj and leader of the state’s delegation for the 2025 Hajj exercise.
The appointment is contained in a statement issued on Monday in Kaduna by the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Ibraheem Musa.
According to him, the emir’s appointment is in recognition of his dedication to selfless service, integrity, and outstanding leadership in human management.
Musa said the emir would collaborate with the State Special Hajj Committee and relevant agencies at the state, federal, and international levels to ensure a seamless and successful pilgrimage.
The governor congratulated the emir on his well-deserved appointment.
He also urged him to leverage his vast experience and leadership skills in carrying out the task.
The governor prayed for Allah’s guidance and protection for him in the discharge of his duties.
