“The Creek Has Spoken: Ziprebo Pius Launches PDP Campaign, Vows To Give Southern Ijaw Constituency IV A Stronger Voice”

YENAGOA, BAYELSA — The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate for the Bayelsa State House of Assembly in Southern Ijaw Constituency IV, Hon. Ziprebo Emomotimi Pius, Esq., has officially commenced his campaign, pledging to pursue purposeful representation and stronger advocacy for the riverine communities within the constituency.
Pius, in a declaration marking the formal commencement of his campaign, appealed to leaders, elders, women, youths, stakeholders and other residents of Wards 3, 4, 14, 15, 16 and 17 to support his bid to represent them in the Bayelsa State House of Assembly.
According to him, the campaign is driven by the need for stronger representation for communities that have continued to face developmental challenges.
He said the people deserve a representative who would remain accessible beyond election periods, listen to their concerns, speak for them and consistently pursue their interests.
The PDP candidate, who described himself as a “product of the creek,” said his interactions and consultations with traditional rulers, community leaders, women, youths and other stakeholders had strengthened his understanding of the challenges confronting the constituency
He stated that his campaign would focus on issues affecting the people rather than personal attacks or political insults.
«“Our campaign will therefore be about the people and the challenges we face in our various communities. It will be about issues and not insults. It will be about service to our people and not self-interest,” he said.»
Pius outlined a broad agenda covering better representation, stronger advocacy, infrastructure, education, healthcare, electricity, clean water, improved connectivity, youth empowerment, opportunities for women, community development and environmental concerns.
He also promised to use the legislative platform to advocate for the interests of his constituents, stressing that while he could not guarantee an immediate solution to every challenge, he would remain committed to pushing for improvements.
The candidate called for unity among the various political, community and social interests within Southern Ijaw Constituency IV, urging residents to put their differences aside and work collectively toward what he described as a new chapter of purposeful representation.
He said the campaign would move from community to community, ward to ward and family to family, taking its message of hope, unity, development and representation across the constituency.
Pius further appealed for the prayers, support and commitment of the people as the campaign gathers momentum ahead of the election.
He described the campaign as being bigger than an individual political ambition, characterising it as a movement aimed at achieving what he called “purposeful representation” and securing a better future for the people of Southern Ijaw Constituency IV.
“The campaign has begun. The journey to victory has begun,” the PDP candidate declared.
