“Who Shut the Villa Door on Tompolo?” — Ezekiel Daniel Claims Three-Week Abuja Gamble Backfired as Imported Kogi Ritualist Allegedly Failed to Secure Tinubu Meeting
......‘Dollars, Connections Couldn’t Open Villa Doors’ — Apostle Ezekiel Daniel Claims Tompolo’s Abuja Mission Ended in Humiliation

By Passman Akpos
Apostle Ezekiel Daniel has claimed that a recent Abuja mission allegedly undertaken by prominent Niger Delta figure Government Ekpemupolo, popularly known as Tompolo, to secure access to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu ended in disappointment despite what he described as extensive lobbying, financial spending and reliance on spiritual intervention.
Daniel made the claims while drawing a biblical comparison between his reported confrontation with Tompolo and the encounter between David and Goliath.
According to the Apostle, he had been informed about six months ago by what he described as “reliable sources at the highest level” that Tompolo would soon travel to Abuja in an attempt to meet the President.
Daniel alleged that he subsequently told his source that he would do everything within his power to ensure the proposed meeting did not materialise, saying his objective was to demonstrate that influence, wealth and connections could not overcome what he described as divine intervention.
«“I laughed at him because he simply does not know who lives inside of me,” Daniel was quoted as saying.»
The Apostle further alleged that Tompolo and members of his political circle subsequently embarked on an extensive lobbying effort in Abuja, allegedly contacting individuals they believed could facilitate access to the Presidency.
Daniel claimed that he monitored the development while working with individuals within the system whom he said were unhappy with what he described as alleged atrocities in the Niger Delta.
‘Days Became Weeks’
According to Daniel’s account, Tompolo eventually arrived in Abuja accompanied by members of his entourage, expecting that their connections and lobbying efforts would result in access to the President.
However, he alleged that the anticipated meeting did not happen despite several days in the nation’s capital.
Daniel claimed that what initially appeared to be a short Abuja visit allegedly stretched into approximately three weeks, eventually forcing the delegation to return to the Niger Delta.
He described the development as a major setback for Tompolo’s camp.
The Apostle also made extraordinary allegations concerning an unnamed spiritual adviser whom he claimed accompanied Tompolo from Kogi State and stayed at the same hotel.
Daniel alleged that spiritual activities were undertaken in an attempt to remove what he described as barriers preventing Tompolo from gaining access to Tinubu.
These allegations, however, could not be independently verified.
Tinubu’s Departure Becomes Turning Point
Daniel claimed that the situation became particularly disappointing for Tompolo when President Tinubu travelled to the United Kingdom for an official engagement without the alleged meeting taking place.
According to him, the development shattered expectations within Tompolo’s camp.
«“When wealth, dollars, and demi-god status jam grace, they always fall,” Daniel declared.»
He further alleged that substantial resources had been deployed to secure the desired political access but that the effort ultimately produced no result.
‘They Returned Disappointed’
Daniel also claimed that the atmosphere among Tompolo’s associates became tense following the alleged failure, with questions reportedly being raised about why the lobbying efforts had not produced the expected outcome.
He alleged that disagreements subsequently emerged within the group over who was responsible for the failure.
The Apostle described the alleged episode as evidence that political influence and financial resources have limits when confronted by forces beyond human control.
A Biblical David-and-Goliath Comparison
Daniel’s account centred heavily on the biblical story of David and Goliath.
He argued that Tompolo’s alleged confidence in his wealth, connections and influence reminded him of Goliath’s confidence before David.
According to Daniel, the biblical account ultimately demonstrated that power and intimidation could be defeated by courage and divine backing.
«“The exact same thing is playing out today between me and Tompolo, who views himself as a god just like Goliath,” Daniel claimed.»
He maintained that the alleged Abuja episode reinforced his belief that no individual, regardless of wealth or influence, should consider himself untouchable.
Claims Require Independent Verification
The allegations made by Apostle Ezekiel Daniel remain his account of events and have not been independently established by Tarakirivoice.
There is also no independent evidence presented in the statement confirming claims concerning alleged payments, spiritual rituals, the identity or activities of any alleged spiritual adviser, or Tompolo’s alleged emotional or physical condition upon returning to Oporoza.
Tompolo or his representatives have not, in the material provided for this report, responded to the allegations.
The development therefore raises questions about the nature of political access, influence and lobbying in Abuja, while also highlighting the increasingly fierce rhetoric surrounding prominent figures in the Niger Delta.
