“PAP: Public Outcry Explodes: Camp Leaders Accuse Otuaro Of Betraying Niger Delta Struggle!”

By Paul Ebi

The already simmering tension in the Niger Delta has exploded into a full-scale public uproar as aggrieved camp leaders representing ALL THREE phases of the Presidential Amnesty Programme (PAP) thundered a blistering attack on Interim Administrator, Dr. Dennis Burutu Otuaro — accusing him of “betraying the struggle” and abandoning the leadership training promised months ago.

The December-issued open letter, now spreading like wildfire across communities, social platforms, and political circles, rips into what it calls “a Silence that breeds distrust, resentment and discontent.”

And the message is unmistakably venomous.

“QUIETNESS IS NOT FOOLISHNESS!” — CAMP LEADERS ERUPT

The document roars with indignation:

No communication.

No timeline.

No explanation.

No leadership training.

Instead, beneficiaries are left in limbo, frustrated and deceived — while the Niger Delta watches in disbelief.

The leaders declare that the patience, goodwill, and respect shown to Otuaro have been ruthlessly abused.

“BETRAYAL BY ONE OF OUR OWN”

The fury hits even deeper because Otuaro himself is from the Niger Delta struggle.

The writers accuse him of:

Stalling a process designed to uplift the very people who trusted him.

Undermining peace-building efforts.

Abandoning transparency.

> “We simply hoped you would do what is right, timely, and responsible,”the letter fires.

THE FEAR: “YOUR SILENCE MAY CREATE ANGER YOU CANNOT CONTROL”

Perhaps the most chilling part of the statement comes as a stark warning:

> “When that day comes, no one should accuse us of ‘fighting our own.’We have been systematically pushed into this corner.”

The Niger Delta is NOT just disappointed —it feels provoked.

THE THREE NON-NEGOTIABLE DEMANDS DROPPED LIKE A HAMMER

Camp leaders insist on:

1️⃣ Official statement on the leadership training.

2️⃣ Fixed date — not stories, not excuses.

3️⃣ Transparent communication going forward.“No excuses. No delays. No silence.”

THE SIGNATURE THAT SPEAKS LOUDER THAN ANY NAME

The statement ended with one thunderous line:

> “UNTRAINED CAMP LEADERS ACROSS THE THREE PHASES OF PAP.”

No individual names. No personal agendas.Just collective rage — united and utterly uncompromising.

THE VERDICT FROM THE FIELD: NIGER DELTA IS WATCHING

The closing message was as cutting as a blade:

> Leadership is responsiveness — not silence. The Niger Delta expects better. The beneficiaries deserve better.

Communities are buzzing.Political operators are unsettled.Social media has erupted with fury.

And all eyes are now fixed on Otuaro.

THE BIG QUESTION:

Will he answer his people —or allow silence to ignite a firestorm?

🔍 MEANWHILE… FLASHBACK TO FOUR MONTHS AGO

On 30 July 2025, PAP rolled out Phase 2 leadership and technical capacity training, following the successful Phase 1.

It was hailed as a milestone for peace.

The training ran in partnership with the Nigerian Army Resource Centre (NARC), Abuja, equipping stakeholders with conflict-resolution and leadership expertise.

Then the curtains fell.Silence took over.Phase 3 never came.

And now the Niger Delta is demanding answers with a tone that cannot be ignored.

🔥The tension is escalating.

🔥The questions are multiplying.

🔥And the Niger Delta may no longer be willing to wait.

Dr. Otuaro stands at a crossroads — answer now, or face a storm no “silence” can calm.
