PAP: “Ndiomu does not respect you, he sees you as tools to be used”- Passman writes E.K Clark, Others

A Niger-Delta Activist, Leader the Coalition of the Niger-Delta Ex-agitators, Comrade Passman Akpos, in an open letter admonished Chief PA E.k Clark and other IJAW Elders to be weary of the Interim Administrator of the Presidential Amnesty Programme Maj. Gen. Barry Tariye Ndiomu that he doesn’t respect the IJaw Elders.
The letter that was made available to Tarakirivoice today, Passman noted that “I want to advise our Ijaw leaders to be weary of the hanky-panky game of the so called Ndiomu. He doesn’t have any iota of respect for you, rather he sees you as tools to be used when ever he deem fit”
The Activist reiterated that “Ndiomu has an Agenda for the Amnesty Programme and that Agenda is to see the end of the Programme, a programme he never knew how it started, he never knew how many families in the Niger-Delta that have lost their love ones to the cold hands of death, how many properties worth billions destroyed. The devastation done on the people and environment of the Niger-Delta, all he could say is that the monthly stipend of N65,000.00 is not sustainable and that he is working for a cooperative to better the lives of Ex-agitators, same people he successfully delisted. Cooperative that when he spent 1million in an individual he will call it 5million for record in order to amass more wealth from the Programme for himself and cronies”
The statement reads in part “Dear Ijaw Elders,
I want to first and foremost appreciate You the Ijaw Elders for your effort.
Our foremost Elder State men, Chief PA E.K Clark, Amb.Godknows Boladei Igali, The president of the IJaw National Congress (INC) Prof. Benjamin Okaba and Others.
Your Love for the IJaw Nation and your desire to see the wholelistic transformation of the Niger-Delta Ex-agitators is really Eye catchy.
Especially Chief PA E.K Clark, for his doggedness, fighting for the sustainers of the presidential Amnesty Programme, of cause the only benefit some little segment of the Niger-Delta is enjoying though is not commensurate compare with what is going to the Nigeria state from the Niger-Delta region, is the Amnesty Programme.
what bewildered me is the way and manner the so called Interim Administrator of the Presidential Amnesty Programme, Maj. Gen. Barry Tariye Ndiomu, manipulate these our foremost Niger-Delta Elders for his own advantage.
I don’t want to call it financial inducement because that will be disrespectful on my part to equate respected Ijaw leaders to be induced financially by a puppetted so called Interim Administrator.
Ndiomu in his agenda to wind down the presidential Amnesty Programme. solely, Ndiomu was appointed by the past Administration to bring the Amnesty Programme to an end, the past Administration of Buhari found in Ndiomu the Zeal to see the IJaw man cry and they have been looking for such a man and they found it in the person of Ndiomu so he was appointed to do the job.
In his first month of appointment, he delisted over 3,000 Ex-agitators among the 30,000 Ex-agitators from the Programme even when the annual appropriation made provision for these set of Ex-agitators.
Ex-agitators reacted to the uncultured act of Ndiomu as in to why he delisted some of the Ex-agitators, the only reason he could give was the issues of multiple BVN linkage, of which there are explanation to that. of cause this is a story for another day.
As the tension increases from the side of the Ex-agitators, Ndiomu begins to scrabble for our respected Ijaw Elders to talk to the Ex-agitators to calm down the tension already created in the region, of cause the Ex-agitators respected the IJaw Elders and douse the tension. Unknown to the Elders it was a ploy to buy time on the side of the so called Ndiomu, he made a public fool of our Elders in the sight of their children the Ex-agitators.
In another wave of tension, he ran to meet with our Elder State man, Chief PA E.K Clark pleading that this time he was ready to make peace and harmonise things with the Ex-agitators.
Chief PA E.K Clark put a call across to Amb.Godknows Boladei Igali and Prof. Benjamin Okaba to hold a meeting with the leadership of the Ex-agitators that his ready to make peace.
The meeting was held on the 25th of July 2023 at the resident of Amb.Godknows Boladei Igali in attendance were Prof. Benjamin Okaba and among other foremost Ijaw Elders. I was present in the meeting with fourteen other Leaders.
Prof. Benjamin Okaba apologized for his lapses on the fruitless meetings they had with us at the past, on the instructions of Ndiomu and that this very meeting was serious that Ndiomu is ready to make peace.
We had the meeting with them, explanations were made, PA E.K Clark spoke to us through phone and that we were to hold a meeting in Abuja with Ndiomu, that will be in attendance of all Ijaw Elders, Chief PA E.k Clark inclusive.
We were told to shade all sword, stop all forms of publication for the now and that the meeting will hold on Friday the 4th of August 2023, later it was shifted to Monday the 7th of August 2023.
Another call came from Amb.Godknows Boladei Igali that the meeting has been shifted to the 21st of August 2023.
At this juncture, I want to advise our Ijaw leaders to be weary of the hanky-panky game of the so called Ndiomu. He doesn’t have any iota of respect for you, rather he sees you as tools to be used when ever he deem fit.
Ndiomu has an Agenda for the Amnesty Programme and that Agenda is to see the end of the Programme, a programme he never knew how it started, he never knew how many families in the Niger-Delta that have lost their love ones to the cold hands of death, how many properties worth billions destroyed. The devastation done on the people and environment of the Niger-Delta, all he could say is that the monthly stipend of N65,000.00 is not sustainable and that he is working for a cooperative to better the lives of Ex-agitators, same people he successfully delisted. Cooperative that when he spent 1million in an individual he will call it 5million for record in order to amass more wealth from the Programme for himself and cronies.
We have really respected you our Ijaw leaders and would want to be patient but if further stressed we will react greatly that will not be good for our country and the IJaw Nation” he added.
