BELABIRI: Two fears dead over gun battle

Belabiri– two persons reportedly feared dead during a gun duel over a pipeline surveillance contract in Belabiri community of Ekeremor Local Government Area of Bayelsa state.
The incident happened around 8pm yesterday evening April 1st 2021 when two Ex-militant leaders; General Frank Seide and General Small Fire met in the community to resolve how the contract should be shared amongst them, but it eventually led to a shoot-out between the two group.
An eye witness who spoke to TarakiriVoice on the condition of anonymity said, the leaders disagree on who hold the majority share of the contract which was brought by Shell Petroleum.
The source said the shoot-out led to the death of Gen. Frank Seide and one other person. The source also said, almost everybody in the community has deserted the community for neighboring villages
TarakiriVoice gathered that the deceased, Gen. Frank was once the chairman of Alabini Rural Development Area (ARDA)
TarakiriVoice also learnt that the two lifeless bodies are still in the community as of the time of filing this report
