From Controversy to Kirikiri: Blessing CEO Says ‘This Is My Biggest Breakthrough’

By Passman Akpos

Popular relationship coach and social media personality, , popularly known as Blessing CEO, has disclosed that she has been remanded at the Kirikiri Correctional Centre in Lagos after being arraigned on charges brought against her by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).

In a statement shared with her followers, Blessing CEO revealed that she pleaded not guilty to all charges filed against her following 26 days in EFCC custody.

According to her account, the charges stem from three separate matters, including disputes involving tenancy agreements and allegations connected to a cancer-related fundraising controversy.

She claimed that one of the cases involved a tenancy dispute over ₦36 million, which she said had already been fully settled. A second matter, also described as a tenancy dispute, allegedly involved ₦69 million, of which she stated ₦5 million had been paid.

Blessing CEO further denied allegations that she sold any person’s property, maintaining that she merely subleased an office space.

The social media influencer also referenced a third case relating to a cancer fundraising controversy in which approximately ₦13 million was reportedly donated. She denied wrongdoing and maintained her innocence regarding allegations connected to the matter.

“I pleaded not guilty to all of the charges after spending 26 days in EFCC custody,” she stated.

Following her court appearance, Blessing CEO said she was remanded at the Kirikiri Correctional Centre pending the perfection of her bail conditions.

Reflecting on her legal troubles, she noted that this is the second time she has been remanded in Kirikiri, recalling a previous detention in 2022 over allegations of defamation and cyberbullying.

Despite the situation, the controversial media personality expressed optimism, describing the experience as a temporary challenge that would ultimately strengthen her.

“It will end in praise. Watch God turn this into a stepping stone,” she wrote, while thanking supporters for their prayers and encouragement.

She also joked about the freezing of her bank accounts and expressed appreciation for the outpouring of support from fans and followers.

As of the time of filing this report, the EFCC had not publicly responded to the specific claims made by Blessing CEO regarding the charges and circumstances surrounding the case.

The matter is expected to continue in court.
