Pride of Heaven Management Debunks Allegations Against Ebuka Songs, Threatens Legal Action

By Passman Akpos

The management of P.O.H Tribe – Pride of Heaven, a faith-based music ministry, has issued a firm clarification debunking allegations circulating on social media that its principal music minister, Ebuka Songs, collected payment to minister at a church programme on December 5, 2025, but failed to honour the engagement.

In a press release dated December 20, 2025, the management described the claim as false, misleading, and malicious, stressing that the circumstances surrounding the cancelled appearance were deliberately misrepresented to the public.

According to the statement, the church involved failed to meet basic logistical, security, and welfare requirements necessary for the minister’s participation. The management explained that as of the day of the scheduled programme, no flight reservations had been made, and adequate security arrangements were absent, making it unsafe and impractical for the minister to travel from his state of residence to the host state.

“The decision not to attend the programme was taken with great regret,” the statement noted, adding that the ministry had declined other important invitations in order to prioritise the said church engagement. However, concerns for the minister’s safety and welfare ultimately informed management’s final decision.

The press release further clarified that no direct agreement existed between the pastor of the church and Ebuka Songs personally. All arrangements, the management stated, were conducted through its official representative, making the subsequent personal media attacks on the minister’s character both unfair and unjustified.

Management also revealed that Ebuka Songs made repeated personal efforts to ensure his availability for the programme, even requesting flexibility and breaking internal protocols to reduce the burden on the church organisers—efforts which, according to the statement, were ignored.

While noting that the issue has been handled through peaceful means, Pride of Heaven confirmed that its legal team is actively addressing the unverified publication of the allegation, warning bloggers and media platforms to desist from further commentary on the resolved matter.

“Any further publication of information concerning this issue will be treated as defamation and will attract full legal action,” the statement warned.

The management concluded by urging the public to seek verified information and refrain from spreading unsubstantiated claims capable of damaging reputations. The statement was signed by the Manager, Pride of Heaven Limited.
