The Niger-Delta Presidential Amnesty Programme led by Maj. Gen. Bary Tariye Ndiomu has confirmed the alleged torture of the beneficiary of the presidential Amnesty Programme, in the office’s premises at Abuja, Mr Pere Ebidowei as reported by Tarakirivoice yesterday.
In a statement on Friday through the media office, PAP confirmed that Ebidouwei was at the office and was disciplined by the securities attached to the office.
Contrary to the claim by the office, PAP said security agents on duty at the office gate disciplined the ex-agitator, Ebidouwei, but alleged he pretended to give up the ghost.
Further confirming the incident, the statement said that the PAP office arranged for “a quick medical attention” to revive the lifeless body of the victim, adding that he was also taken to the hospital.
Our correspondence in a telephone conversation with Pere Ebidowei who confirmed that he was severely tortured and that his currently receiving treatment in MEDIREST Hospital located at No.8 Linda Chalker crescent, Asokoro Extension, guzape by driving school junction, Abuja.
Pere said he was beaten by the security men at the gate as ordered by the CSO to Ndiomu, he said at a point, he started vomiting blood, so he fainted. He noted that he was dumbed in a near by Bush were a fulani man gave him a substance to drink in order to stop him from vomiting blood.

According to Pere, he went to the office to submit a document, he was asked by the security men to present his Amnesty I.D card, so he did, still they refuse to allow him, so he insisted that he is a delegate of the Programme, on the process the CSO now asked why he was making noise, so the CSO to Ndiomu ordered for his beaten.
But the PAP statement alleged that “On Thursday September 7, 2023, one Mr. Pere Ebidouwei, a phase 1 delegate of the Presidential Amnesty Programme (PAP) from Bayelsa State had attempted to forcefully gain entrance into the annex office of the PAP located along Buzi Close, Off, Amazon Street, Abuja.“He was stopped by the security agents on duty and as customary asked to present a valid notice of invitation after he claimed to have been invited by a staff. The simple request got him infuriated.
He started cussing and insisting that he must be allowed to enter. “The security operatives sensing that he was intoxicated with hard substance and reeking of alcohol, decided to be more careful with him.

Recall that PAP Interim Administrator, Gen. Barry Ndiomu, on Friday, through his legal team, Lorenzo & Co., said “no such incident ever took place on or within the premises of the PAP or outside the office of the distinguished Interim Administrator Gen. Barry T. Ndiomu.”
It is therefore surprising that PAP who alleged that nothing of such happened, is again confirming that Pere Ebidouwei was disciplined.
It is now clear that these are framed up lies from the office of PAP.
