Breaking:All 230 Abducted Niger Schoolchildren Freed After Military-Intelligence Operation

The remaining 130 schoolchildren abducted by terrorists from St Mary’s Catholic School in Papiri, Niger State, have regained their freedom, bringing to an end weeks of anxiety and grief for their families.
The children, who were kidnapped on November 21, are expected to arrive in Minna on Monday, where they will be reunited with their parents and loved ones in time for the Christmas celebration.One hundred of the abducted pupils had earlier been released by their captors, making the latest development a complete liberation of all 230 schoolchildren taken during the attack on the school.
According to a statement credited to presidential spokesman Bayo Ananuga, the release of the remaining children followed a sustained military-intelligence driven operation, underscoring the resolve of security agencies to dismantle terrorist networks and secure the safe return of abducted citizens.
The successful operation has been widely welcomed by parents, religious leaders, and residents of Niger State, who expressed relief and gratitude as the children prepare to return home after their ordeal.
The federal government has reiterated its commitment to intensifying security operations to prevent further attacks on schools and protect children from criminal and terrorist groups, particularly in vulnerable communities across the country.
