Ekeremor LG Chairman Mourns Ewhrudjakpo, Describes Late Deputy Governor as Pillar of Bayelsa’s Prosperity Administration

The Executive Chairman of Ekeremor Local Government Area, Hon. Onniye Isaac, has expressed profound grief over the death of the Deputy Governor of Bayelsa State, Senator Lawrence Ewhrudjakpo, describing his passing as a monumental loss to Bayelsa, the Niger Delta, and Nigeria at large.
In a condolence message issued on Saturday by his Chief Press Secretary, Mr. Thorpe Okokoyoh Henry, Hon. Onniye said the late Deputy Governor was an accomplished technocrat, a committed servant of the people, and a dependable pillar of the Prosperity Administration.
According to the Council Chairman, Senator Ewhrudjakpo brought rare intellectual depth, administrative excellence, and unwavering dedication to public service, qualities that greatly contributed to the development, stability, and effective governance of Bayelsa State.
“He was a leader of sound counsel and exemplary character whose contributions to governance will not be easily forgotten,” Hon. Onniye stated, noting that the Deputy Governor played a pivotal role in shaping policies and providing strategic guidance that advanced the state’s progress.
On behalf of the Council and the people of Ekeremor Local Government Area, Hon. Onniye extended heartfelt condolences to the Ewhrudjakpo family, the Governor of Bayelsa State, Senator Douye Diri, the people of Sagbama Local Government Area, and all Bayelsans over the irreparable loss.
He prayed that God Almighty grants them the strength and fortitude to bear the painful passing and asked for the peaceful repose of the soul of the departed leader.
The Chairman also urged Bayelsans to honour the memory of Senator Ewhrudjakpo by upholding the enduring values he exemplified—selfless service, integrity, and dedication to the common good.
