Okochiri, Rivers State — The ancient Okochiri Kingdom was aglow with jubilation today as indigenes, traditional leaders, and well-wishers celebrated the 8th anniversary of the reign of His Royal Majesty, Dr. Ateke Michael Tom, a monarch widely praised for ushering in an era of peace, unity, and infrastructural renewal.
Reflecting on his journey since ascending the revered throne of his forefathers, HRM Dr. Ateke Tom expressed profound gratitude to God for divine guidance and strength.
> “It is 8 years today sitting on the sacred throne of peace, strength and unity in the ancient land of my forefathers… I’m most grateful to God Almighty for choosing me as King and for sustaining me with His grace, wisdom and infinite mercy these past eight years of peace, love, unity and rapid infrastructural development,” he said.
