An open letter has been addressed to Rt. Hon. Abbas Tajudeen, Speaker of the House of Representatives, urging the expeditious release of educational scholarships for students who completed the screening process over three months ago.
The letter, signed by Dauda Ibrahim Dauda, praises Speaker Tajudeen’s commitment to youth development and highlights the positive impact of the scholarship scheme on Nigerian students and their families. According to the letter, the initiative has provided hope, relief, and the opportunity for academic advancement to countless beneficiaries.
However, the correspondence raises concerns over delays in disbursing funds, noting that some students are already experiencing challenges in their studies due to the extended wait. The letter respectfully appeals to the Speaker to fast-track the scholarship payments to prevent further academic setbacks.
“Honourable Speaker, we sincerely request that you consider fast-tracking the payment for those who underwent the screening several months ago, so they can continue their studies without delays or academic setbacks,” the letter stated.
The author concluded with prayers for Speaker Tajudeen’s continued success and for divine guidance to sustain his efforts in serving the nation’s youth.
The open letter underscores the urgency of addressing administrative delays in scholarship disbursement, reflecting the broader demand for timely support to Nigeria’s students pursuing higher education.
