Gov. Okpebholo appoints New Edo revenue board Chairman

The Governor of Edo State, Senator Monday Okpebholo, has approved the nomination of Hon. (Barr.) Oladele Bankole-Balogun as the Executive Chairman of the Edo State Board of Internal Revenue.
The announcement was made by the Secretary to the State Government, Umar Musa Ikhilor, Esq.
Hon. Bankole-Balogun, a distinguished legal and political professional, was born in 1961 into the family of the late Chief Bankole Balogun of Igarra, Akoko-Edo.
He holds a B.Sc. in Political Science from the University of Ibadan (1984), an LL.B from the University of London, and a Postgraduate Diploma in Law from the College of Law, London.
As a member of the Law Society of England and Wales, the Nigerian Bar Association, the International Bar Association, and the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (UK), Hon. Bankole-Balogun has had an illustrious career spanning corporate, legal, and political sectors. His professional experience includes roles at Cadbury Nigeria PLC, Pfizer UK, and the Alphabet Group UK. Notably, he served as the Federal Commissioner representing Edo State in the Public Complaints Commission (2012–2015).
An active participant in political affairs, Hon. Bankole-Balogun has been a House of Representatives aspirant and most recently served on the APC Campaign Council for the 2024 Edo State Governorship elections.
Governor Okpebholo also announced the nomination of three Executive Directors for the Edo State Board of Internal Revenue: Deacon Idiake Patrick Akhimien (representing Edo Central), Hon. Mike Ohio Ezomo (representing Edo North), and Hon. Engr. Jackson Eribo (representing Edo South).
These appointments reflect the administration’s commitment to leveraging seasoned professionals for effective governance and economic development in Edo State.
