Chelsea winger Jadon Sancho has expressed his long-standing admiration for the club, revealing that his childhood support for the Blues stemmed from the iconic performances of Frank Lampard and Didier Drogba.
In a pre-match press conference ahead of Chelsea’s crucial Premier League matchup against Everton on Sunday, December 22, Jadon Sancho reflected on his deep-rooted connection to the Stamford Bridge-based club.
Talking about his return to Chelsea, his boyhood club, Sancho commented, “It’s still a bit weird to me… but it’s always good to be home. My family is close, which makes this transition easier.”
He reminisced about his youth, stating, “I always supported Chelsea as a kid because of Lampard and Drogba.” The influence of these two legends greatly shaped his passion for the club.
