Fire has engulfed a section of the Gusau Central Market in Zamfara State, destroying shops and goods worth millions of naira.
This was contained in a post by security analyst, Zagazola Makama on Sunday night.
According to the post, the fire started and rapidly spread through several stalls before traders and local residents could intervene.
Eyewitnesses at the scene described the situation as devastating, with many struggling to salvage their goods amid the raging flames.
Affected traders have made urgent appeals for assistance from the Zamfara State Fire Service, as the inferno continues to burn in parts of the market.
As of the time of filing this report, the cause of the fire and extent of the damage remains unclear.
