“Forgotten in Mali: Mentally Ill Nigerian Imprisoned 12 Years, Family Pleads for Tinubu, Oborevwori, Verydarkblackman to Save Him”

A heartbreaking appeal has emerged from Delta State as a young Nigerian, Mamuyovwi, has spent over 12 agonizing years in a Malian prison under shocking and controversial circumstances.
According to family sources, Mamuyovwi — described as a special child battling mental health challenges — was first kidnapped twice in Nigeria by persons posing as friends, who allegedly attempted to use him for ritual purposes. After miraculously escaping that horror, tragedy struck again as he was deceived and trafficked from Nigeria to Mali, where his life took a darker turn.
Despite clear evidence of his mental condition, the Malian authorities have held him in custody for over a decade, branding him a terrorist — a claim his family firmly dismisses as false, wicked, and unjust.

A video from inside the Mali prison, recorded on December 3, 2025, has surfaced, strengthening the family’s plea that he is innocent, frail, and urgently in need of medical attention and proper care.
Now, loved ones are making an emotional public call:
> “We are appealing to well-meaning Nigerians, the Delta State Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, President Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, and Verydarkblackman to intervene. Mamuyovwi does not deserve to rot in a foreign prison. He needs medical help and to return home to his family.”
