More than 30 feared killed as bandits attack Plateau community

No fewer than 35 persons have been reportedly killed in Yelwa Zangam community, Jos North Local Government Area of Plateau State.
It was gathered that armed bandits attacked the community in the early hours of Wednesday.
The attackers had reportedly disabled the bridge leading to the community preventing any access to help before launching their assault.
It was also learnt that an entire family was burnt alive in their home.
The attack is coming barely 24 hours after President Muhammadu Buhari pledged support for victims of violent clashes in Plateau State.
When contacted, the spokesman of Plateau State Police Command, Ubah Ogaba confirmed the incident and promised to give details later.
He said, ”there was an incident at Yelwa but I have not received full details yet.”
