Adeboye Urges Federal Government to Eliminate Terrorists Ahead of Possible U.S. Military Action

The General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Pastor Enoch Adeboye, has called on the Federal Government to take swift and decisive action to eliminate terrorists and their sponsors across Nigeria.
Speaking during a special service on Friday, Adeboye expressed deep concern over reports of a possible United States military intervention in Nigeria to combat terrorism, warning that such external involvement could have far-reaching implications for the nation’s sovereignty and security.
He urged the government to act proactively by dismantling terror networks and bringing their financiers to justice before any foreign power deems it necessary to step in.
> “We must not wait for outsiders to come and fight our battles for us. Nigeria has all it takes—both spiritually and materially—to defeat terrorism. The government must be decisive and act swiftly to eliminate terrorists and those funding them,” Adeboye said.
The revered cleric further emphasized that the fight against insecurity should transcend politics, noting that terrorism threatens the collective peace, unity, and progress of the country.
> “This is not about politics or tribe. This is about the soul of our nation. Every life lost to terrorism is a wound to Nigeria’s heart,” he added.
Adeboye also urged Nigerians to continue praying for divine intervention and for leaders at all levels to be guided by wisdom in handling the country’s security challenges.
The United States government has not officially confirmed plans for military action in Nigeria, but recent intelligence reports and diplomatic discussions have sparked speculation over possible interventions in regions plagued by extremist violence.
If confirmed, such a move would mark one of the most significant international security operations in West Africa in recent years.
