Delayed BVN Payment: PAP Beneficiary stabbed near dead, rush to Hospital

Abuja – A beneficiary of the presidential Amnesty Programme, self-style Gen. Okoro Godwin, yesterday in Abuja, Mpape area, was stabbed to near dead and was rushed to the National hospital Emergency unit.
The victim, a Camp leader of the presidential Amnesty Programme who lodged in a Hotel in the Mpape area in Abuja was severely injured.
Recall, Tarakirivoice has reported the BVN issue that has affected so many beneficiaries of the Programme, many of the Camp leaders are currently in Abuja to pursue the payment of their various Camps.
Many leaders have stayed in Abuja over three months, while some more. According to the victim, Godwin Okoro, who lodged in a Hotel in Mpape area in Abuja, as he was visited by our correspondent in the Emergency unit in Abuja National Hospital, noted ” I was going out to buy recharge card so I can contact one or two persons for financial assistance, because I have stayed in the hotel for a long time and I have been indebted and the hotel management is on the verge to throw me out”
“So, I was going out around 5:30am in the morning to buy recharge card, so I can make call in order to get little fund to save myself of the embarrassment”
“As I got to the junction of the road, opposite a first bank area in Mpape, numerous Fulani boys between the ages of 17 and 18, accusted me and wanting to take my phone from me, phone that i want to use to make calls. On the process, I started dragging with them, the next thing, one of them pulled out a very sharp dagger and stabbed me on the upper part of my abdomen and immediately blood started gushing out, I saw my intestines coming out, so I use my hand to block the injured area”
“By then the Fulani boys have all ran away, so I staggered back to the hotel, and so, they rushed me to a nearby hospital but the hospital rejected me due to the severity of the case, so I was referred to the Abuja National Hospital.
Tarakirivoice correspondent who was present at the Abuja National hospital to monitor the severity of the case, said, the stab was done on the belly, close to the naval, he said, the Doctors were planning to carry out an investigation on the intestines, that if there is any damage, then, they will carry out a major surgery.
The victim that was writhen in pain, said, let him not die before Otuaro pays the BVN money. He further called on the Administrator of the presidential Programme, Chief Dennis Brutus Otuaro to pity the Ex-agitators, in order to clear every outstanding arears, so the leaders can reunite with their various families back in the region.
