BARAZA Reconciliation: “I got a shocking alert from Baraza,It took me hours to believe”- Beneficiary Speaks

By Passman Akpos
Some of the beneficiaries of the ongoing reconciliation process of the Baraza multipurpose cooperative society have raised their voices on the success of the process.
Recall, the Baraza multipurpose cooperative society was a platform where members contributed monies base on their capacity, to be paid with interest in a higher rate. The programme crashed since sometimes 2021, members who lost their capitals, poured curses and insults on the CEO of the programme, Pst. Miebi Bribena.
The CEO, had promised on several occasions, through the media, to members who have lost monies, that he’s working seriously to see that they get their monies back.
The reconciliation process which started recently, where some members of the programme have already received their monies but fails to testify about the receipt.
In an interactive session with Tarakirivoice, the CEO, Pst. Miebi Bribena said “I will not going to force people to testify about the receipt of monies accruing to them, the update are there to verify, I not only past file numbers but I pasted people’s names too, so anyone who says am lieing should come out and say it, some persons who rain insults and curses on me, some of them, their outstanding balance was just N25,000, now that they have received, they are not saying anything”.
In our fact finding, Tarakirivoice in scanning through the ongoing process, one Amos Odiri Abrudhakpo noted, “I got a shocking alert from Baraza that I have forgotten about since 2021, on Thursday 13/06/24. It took me hours to believe. This shows your intentions were pure, but some persons messed the process up. God bless you abundantly and keep you strong Sir”.
