Breaking: Delayed training allowance, PAP 100 Level scholarship Beneficiary allegedly dies in Hotel room

A Beneficiary of the Presidential Amnesty scholarship programme, Miss Favor Benema Godswill from Bayelsa state, a Business administration , 100 Level student of IGBENEDION UNIVERSITY OKADA, Edo state, was found dead in a hotel room yesterday.
The deceased, from Bayelsa state, according to her closer friend and sister, that she went to the Hotel with a staff of the University whom might have trying to take advantage of her and she pass on.
Recall, the newly scholarship beneficiaries of the presidential Amnesty programme, were inaugurated and sent to their various schools since November, 2024, by the Administrator, Chief Dennis Brutus Otuaro PhD.
According to findings by Tarakirivoice, since the Beneficiaries of the scholarship programme resumed school, November 2024, they have not been given their training allowance as an upkeep to sustain them on campus going to over seven months.
In a statement made available to Tarakirivoice yesterday, by one Comr. Lawoni Dumofaye, Chairman, Egbema Clan IYC noted ” I’m pained to announce the untimely death of our member today at IGBENEDION UNIVERSITY OKADA, whom was found dead in a hotel room, according to her closer friend and sister, that she went there with a staff whom might have trying to take advantage of her and she pass on. Miss Favor Benema Godswill a Business administration 100 Level student.
We’re calling on the leadership of this platform to use their good office to bring the culprit to book.Meanwhile, the man’s wife and the hotel manager are in the police custody in Edo State command”
Confirming the incident, the University Authority in a letter signed by the registrar of the institution, Friday Benji Bakare Esq, appeal to the university community and students to remain calm as they ensure a thorough and transparent investigation into the matter.
At as the time of filing this report, the Edo state police command has not responded to our phone call.
