In a bombshell statement rocking the nation’s political landscape, Borno South Senator, Ali Ndume, has launched a blistering attack on President Bola Tinubu’s newly released ambassadorial nominations — insisting the list is riddled with constitutional violations, ethnic imbalances, and shocking oversights.
Ndume warned that the controversial nominations breach Section 14(3) of the Constitution, threatening national unity at a delicate moment when the country should be reinforcing trust among its diverse ethnic blocs.
“THIS LIST IS A TIME-BOMB” — NDUME ROARS
Declaring that the allocation of nominees “falls short of fair representation,” the former Senate Leader called on President Tinubu to withdraw the list immediately before next week’s Senate screening, saying failure to do so could deepen ethnic mistrust nationwide.
Ndume revealed glaring disparities in the nominations:
South-West: 15 nominees
North-West: 13 nominees
South-East: 9 nominees
North-Central: 10 nominees
South-South: 12 nominees
North-East: 7 nominees
Even more shocking, Ndume pointed out that some states allegedly received three or four nominees while others got none, fundamentally “mocking the Federal Character principle.”
STUNNING TWIST: DECEASED SENATOR INCLUDED
In what many are calling the most embarrassing blunder of the year, Ndume revealed that the list includes Senator Adamu Garba Talba from Yobe — who reportedly passed away in July!
Nigerians have erupted in disbelief over what Ndume described as a “gross oversight that raises serious credibility concerns” about the selection process.

> “My sincere appeal to President Tinubu is to withdraw this list… At this critical juncture, he should avoid missteps that can undermine national unity and foster ethnic distrust.”
The outspoken lawmaker insisted that the President present a fresh list that aligns with the spirit of the Constitution, stressing that Tinubu has always been known as a “cosmopolitan leader who is at home with every segment of Nigeria.”
