“Death from the Skies: Nigerian Air Force Cripples Terrorists’ Command Hub in Sambisa”

Abuja – The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has achieved a significant milestone in the fight against terrorism with a precision air interdiction mission at ARRA, a known terrorist hideout in the Sambisa general area. The operation, conducted on 19 November 2025 under the directive of the Chief of the Air Staff, targeted terrorist structures identified through extensive intelligence gathering.
The Air Component of Joint Task Force Operation HADIN KAI carried out the strike following a series of intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance (ISR) missions. These missions tracked terrorist movements in the aftermath of the 17 October ambush on Nigerian ground troops at Kashomri. Persistent ISR coverage over Kashomri and Sambisa revealed suspicious activities and active terrorist positions at ARRA, prompting the decisive airstrike.
According to Air Commodore Ehimen Ejodame, Director of Public Relations and Information at NAF Headquarters, the strike was executed with precision through coordinated successive passes by NAF air assets. “The mission achieved its intended effect with the complete destruction of all identified targets, significantly degrading the terrorists’ operational capabilities and disrupting their command and logistics networks,” he stated.
The successful operation reinforces the Nigerian Air Force’s commitment to protecting the nation, supporting ground forces, and sustaining relentless pressure on terrorist elements across all theatres of operation. The NAF remains resolute in its mission to neutralize threats, defend Nigeria’s territorial integrity, and secure lasting peace for all citizens.
