Drama as Senator Ned Nwoko, Regina Daniels Marriage Sparks Heated Debate

Abuja, Nigeria – The marriage of Senator Prince Chinedu “Ned” Nwoko and popular actress Regina Daniels is once again making headlines, stirring a fiery debate across social media and news platforms.
Activist Omoyele Sowore reignited the controversy, claiming that evidence shows Nwoko married Daniels when she was still a teenager and that he personally arranged her travel to the UAE (Dubai) shortly after she turned 18. Sowore also accused the senator of using the Nigeria Police Force to intimidate Daniels’ family and critics—a move he described as a pattern of harassment that “must stop.”
Responding swiftly, Senator Nwoko denied the allegations, calling them “entirely untrue and misleading.” In a detailed statement, he said he first met Daniels when she was 21 and verified her age with her INEC voter’s card, which he has kept since that day. “According to all verifiable records, our marriage took place six years ago, which means Regina is 27 years old today. Any suggestion that I married her at 17 is false and should not be accepted by the public,” he insisted.
Nwoko also asked the public to consider Daniels’ current personal challenges and cautioned against taking all claims at face value.
The exchange has sparked a heated online debate, with Nigerians divided between those calling for accountability and those defending the senator.
