EBF Announces Second Phase of Street2School Legacy Project to Empower Pupils in the Niger Delta

By Passman Akpos

Warri, Delta State — The Ernest Bebenimibo Foundation (EBF), a renowned non-governmental organization dedicated to human capacity development and community advancement in the Niger Delta, has officially announced October 28 and 29, 2025, as the dates for the second phase of its educational empowerment and outreach initiative — the Street2School Legacy Project.

Guided by the vision of its Founder and President, Deacon Ernest Bebenimibo, the Street2School Legacy Project is designed to bridge educational gaps in underserved communities by providing learning materials, mentorship, and sensitization on the value of education. The initiative aligns with EBF’s mission to bring hope to the less privileged, support the deprived, and extend quality educational opportunities to children in hard-to-reach areas across the Niger Delta and beyond.

Earlier in 2025, the foundation successfully executed the first phase of the project, reaching public schools in Udu and Ogbe-Ijoh within Udu and Warri South-West Local Government Areas of Delta State. During that outreach, pupils and students received essential academic materials including notebooks, school bags, writing instruments, mathematical sets, and other learning aids aimed at enhancing their classroom experience and motivation to learn.

Speaking on the upcoming phase, Dcn. Ernest Bebenimibo emphasized that the foundation is expanding its impact this year.

> “This second phase will go beyond the distribution of learning materials,” he said. “We will also host interactive sessions with guidance and counseling experts to empower parents, guardians, and teachers with vital knowledge on effective educational guidance and investment in their children’s academic future.”

The second phase of the Street2School Legacy Project will focus on the following beneficiary schools within Warri South-West Local Government Area of Delta State:

1. Igade Primary School, Diebiri/Batan Clan

2. Owejubiri Primary School, Ikantu, Gbaramatu Kingdom

3. Kpere Primary & Secondary School, Arunton, Ode-Igborodo

4. Egogo Primary School, Ijaghala, Gbaramatu Kingdom

Through this initiative, the Ernest Bebenimibo Foundation continues to reaffirm its unwavering commitment to building a future where every child, regardless of background or location, has access to quality education and equal opportunities to thrive.
