Former President Goodluck Jonathan, has said that incumbent Governor, Senator Douye Diri and his running mate, Senator Lawrence Ewhrudjakpo deserve the victory they recorded in last Saturday gubernatorial election.
Dr. Jonathan who was at the Governor’s residence this afternoon to congratulate the duo, made is clear that he had always canvassed for continuity with Diri because of his many developmental projects.
Governor Diri who appreciated the former President for his unalloyed support toward him, further appreciated President Bola Tinubu for providing an enabling environment for a peaceful election.
The Governor supported by his wife, Dr. Gloria, later presented his certificate of return to Dr. Jonathan.
