Appoint Civilians, retired military officers are Opportunist, Ex-militants tells Tinubu
The Niger-Delta Ex-agitators of the phase 2 of the presidential Amnesty program has congratulated the President-elect, Ahmed Bola Tinubu on his victory on the recently keenly contested election.
Recall, the Presidential Election that was held on the 25th of February 2023 was keenly contested, out of the three major political parties, APC, PDP, LP got 37, 29 and 26 percent respectively, as declared by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
The group wish the prolific and veteran politician a good stay in his leadership, in the general wellbeing of the country, and the Niger Delta in particular.
In a telephone call with our correspondent yesterday, the Chairman phase 2 of the presidential Amnesty program, Gen. Paul Johnson and other Executive members, promised to work with the President-elect to achieve his desired aims in Nigeria and the Niger-Delta in particular and to ensure the desired peace is enjoyed in the region to attract development to the people.

Tariye Ndiomu (rtd) as the IA of the presidential Amnesty program”

The group alleged that Ndiomu is a fruadstar, whose presence in the Amnesty office will not tell well in the near future and call for his immediate sack from the presidential Amnesty program.
It call on President Muhammadu Buhari as a matter of urgency relief Major Gen. Tariye Ndiomu of his duty, and advice the incoming president on his choice of appointment to stay clear of retired officers of the Nigerian military, rather, appoint civilians in the Ijaw extraction who understands the Amnesty program and how it came into existence, not opportunist like Ndiomu, they added.
