No less than four persons have been shot dead by gunmen in different areas of Port Harcourt, the Rivers State capital.
The shooting occurred Tuesday night at Rumuibekwe of Obio-Akpo Local Government Area and Diobu axis of Port Harcourt.
It was gathered that one Rowland Asuru was shot and killed at Rumuibekwe while one Pastor Emma was shot and killed at D-line.
An automobile technician, John Okon was killed at Abakaliki/Nanka street in Diobu at about 9pm. At the same time, another man whose name could not be confirmed was shot at D-line but later died at the Military Hospital.
On the same night, a man identified as Kalada Briggs was shot by gunmen and is currently receiving treatment at an undisclosed hospital.
When contacted, the spokeswoman of the Rivers State Police Command, SP Grace Inringe-Koko, confirmed the killings, saying that the command has launched an investigation to arrest the perpetrators.
