German diplomat, Bielefeld found dead in Islamabad

A German diplomat was found dead in his apartment in Islamabad, confirmed police authorities.
The deceased was identified as Thomas Jurgen Bielefeld, 58, second secretary at the embassy of Germany.
Thomas Jurgen lived in his apartment in Karakoram Heights, a diplomatic enclave in Islamabad. The compound is under the jurisdiction of the secretariat police station.
Jurgen’s body was discovered by embassy staff, who became concerned after he had been absent from work for two days, reports said.
They broke into his apartment and found him unresponsive. They notified the Islamabad Police immediately. Later, the body was shifted to a hospital.
The police have begun an investigation surrounding the causes of the death. Although they said that the immediate cause of death was not known.
However, according to the duty officer of the police station, Irshad, the diplomat was previously a heart patient and had been admitted to the Kulsoom Hospital in Islamabad for treatment.
The police were told that the diplomat was a heart patient. It was not clear when the diplomat died. However, he had last used his WhatsApp at 7:44 pm on Saturday, police said.
According to the duty officer, there is a likely chance that the diplomat died due to a sudden cardiac arrest.
