Governor Fubara Pledges Immediate Development Projects in Akabuka Community

Governor Siminalayi Fubara has reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to grassroots development and community peace during a civic reception held in honour of his Deputy, Professor Ngozi Nma Odu, at Akabuka community in Ogba-Egbema-Ndoni Local Government Area.
Addressing the gathering, Governor Fubara said his government would ensure that Akabuka and its people benefit from ongoing state development programmes. He announced that work on internal roads within the community and the rehabilitation of Government Secondary School, Akabuka, would commence immediately.
> “I listened to the concerns of the people of this great community and want to assure you that development will not pass you by,” the Governor said. “My only request is simple: let us continue to choose peace. Where there is peace, progress follows.”
Governor Fubara praised the Akabuka community for their continued support of his Deputy, Prof. Odu, describing her as a symbol of dedication, humility, and service. He urged residents to sustain the unity and cooperation that have defined their relationship with the state government.
> “Thank you, Akabuka, for standing with your daughter,” he added. “We will walk this journey together in unity, respect, and shared purpose for a better Rivers State.”
The event was attended by top government officials, traditional rulers, and community leaders who commended the Governor’s commitment to equitable development and inclusive governance across the state.
