I won’t spare any Traditional ruler, Individuals found abetting criminals in their domains – Gov. Fubara

Governor of Rivers state, Sir Siminalaye Fubara, has threatened to deal decisively with traditional rulers or individuals associated with cultism sponsorship or abetting criminal elements in any part of the state.
The governor revealed this today, September 11, 2023, during the official commissioning of the 5.1km Mgbuodohia Road in Rumu Olumeni, ObioAkpor Local Government Area, Rivers State.
Gov. Fubara who observed a minute silence in honour of the late Ahoada East Local Government Divisional Police Officer SP Bako Angbashim who was killed by suspected cultists while on an operation in the area.
The governor stated that he has begun with the two traditional rulers in Ahoada East Local Government Area and will not hesitate to punish any other traditional leaders, regardless of class or status.
“We are in a sad state right now due to the death of SP Bako Angbashim, the divisional police officer of Ahoada East Local Government Area.”
“Let me state unequivocally that I will not spare any traditional ruler found to be sponsoring cultism in his domain; I began with Ahoada East and will pursue such people even if they are in my Local Government Area.”
“As a responsible government, we will not tolerate anyone sabotaging the peace and security of our beloved state; I will pursue you.”
