Include Torugbene-Ojobo Road in 2025 budget -Ijaw Community Urges Sheriff

Ijaw Community has called on the Governor of Delta State, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, to include the Torugbene-Ojobo road in the 2025 Budget.

President, Ojobo Development Forum and Ernest Brisibe, Esq
Secretary, Ojobo Development Forum, yesterday, that was sighted by Tarakirivoice, noted that, “For years, the community has waited patiently for the completion of this critical infrastructure, only to be met with persistent neglect by successive administrations. Despite numerous attempts to engage with the government—including requests for dialogue with the governor—their pleas have been repeatedly ignored”
“The recent exclusion of the Torugbene-Ojobo road project from the 2025 Delta State budget underscores the government’s apparent indifference to the development needs of the Ojobo people and other communities on that stretch of Burutu South Constituency. This blatant disregard is unacceptable, and the community will no longer remain silent”.
“We demand immediate action from the Delta State Government to address this prolonged injustice,” stated Chief (Amb.) Ondokare S.L. Fufeyin, President of the Ojobo Development Forum. “Our people deserve justice and meaningful development, and we will not relent until our voices are heard.”
The Ojobo Development Forum, representing the collective interests and aspirations of the Ojobo Community, has called on the Delta State Government, ably led by the development and infrastructure-loving Governor, Rt Hon Sheriff Oborevwori, to take immediate action on the long-neglected Torugbene-Ojobo road project.
