Gov. Diri Receives INC leaders: urges them to rebrand INC ethnic nationalities in Nigeria

The Bayelsa State Governor, Senator Douye Diri, has received the newly elected executive of the Ijaw National Congress (INC) led by Professor Benjamin Okaba and urged them to protect the interest of the ijaw nation by rebranding INC to be among it ethnic nationalities in Nigeria.
Gov. Diri disclosed this in the newly executive visit on Friday Evening, 30th April 2021, in Government House, Yenagoa.

Prof. Okaba, who hails from Kpakiama in Bomadi Local Government Area of Delta State emerged new INC President in a very transparent election conducted via electronic voting during the National Convention in Yenagoa.
Tarakiri voice newspaper also reports that the Governor through a statement issued by his Chief Press Secretary, Mr. Daniel Alabrah, expressed gladness over the emerged INC leaders through a rancour free and exemplary electronic voting process after years of the organization being comatose, and called on the leaders to rebrand the INC.
“I am indeed the happiest man today, that out of this electoral process, we have a brand new executive of INC. There is a hand of God in your election. It was God’s own design using everyone of us to ensure the loud silence of the Ijaw nation will no longer be.
In spite of all the suspicions and fears, we produced an acceptable INC leadership. A big thank you to this worthy Electoral Committee”, Gov. Diri stated.
