Kanu: Negotiation with FG is ongoing Igbos Stop Being Used — Awuzie Frankline

“Let’s be honest , the most easily used and dumped group in Nigeria has always been the Igbo. The Yoruba and Hausa understand our emotional nature very well. They know the only way to penetrate us is to echo our pain, pretend to support our cause, and we immediately open our hearts and trust them. But when their mission is complete, we are left behind — betrayed, mocked, and blamed for the fallout.”
These were the words when Awuzie Frankline in a statement made available to Tarakirivoice, he admonished the Igbo people not to join the Omoyele Sowore proposed Peaceful protest to Aso villa on the 20th of this month for the release of the detained Mazi Nnamdi Kanu .
“I’m honestly disappointed at the level of reasoning among some of our people. We’ve allowed emotions to blind our sense of judgment, making us unable to see beyond the present moment”
“Take what’s happening now as a clear example. The Governor of Abia State Alex Otti has openly promised that he is working tirelessly — negotiating with the Federal Government and other influential Igbo leaders — to secure the release of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu. He has assured that the process is ongoing and that there’s genuine progress.”
“Yet, instead of giving him and other Igbo leaders room to negotiate strategically, some of us are already shouting “street protest!” because Sowore said so.”
“Let’s reason for a moment: 👉If we join a protest that turns violent or gets hijacked — and security agents start shooting — who will be the victims? It’s the same innocent Igbos that will die! Then the headlines will read “Igbo Protest Turns Bloody.” Sowore will move on, government will clamp down harder, and Kanu’s release will become even more difficult.”
“Are we new to this country? We’ve seen this pattern before. Why can’t we, as Igbos, direct our energy towards pressuring our own governors, senators, and representatives to unite and negotiate for Kanu’s release? That’s a smarter, safer, and more result-oriented approach.”
“Let’s stop allowing outsiders with personal or political grudges against the government to use us as tools in their fights. Sowore is already having issues with the presidency — do you really think the government will take him seriously if he leads a protest in Igbo name? No! It will only make the president believe the Igbos are rising against him. And that, my brothers and sisters, will destroy every negotiation channel open for Kanu’s freedom.”
“We’ve seen this movie before:”👇
“Femi Fani-Kayode (FFK) once claimed to be a “true friend of the Igbos,” shouting “Biafra forever.” Many Igbos hailed him. Where is he now? He’s working directly against the same cause he once pretended to support.”
“Reno Omokri also used our pain to gain relevance — same with Deji Adeyanju and others. They always use the same script: claim solidarity with the Igbo struggle, gain attention and followers, then later turn their backs on us.”
“We must be wiser this time. Emotional reactions have never brought us progress — strategy and unity will”
“Let the governors and legitimate Igbo stakeholders handle the negotiations for Kanu’s release. Let us stop following every Cash activist that comes online shouting “protest!” They gain attention. We lose lives.”
“It’s time to break this cycle. If we must protect, An Igbo man must lead the protest not Yoruba. If you like hate me , you will still come back to say i made sense . When I told you people that FFK that was supporting Nnamdi kanu was fake, you all insulted me . When i predicted what will happen in Obi igbo in rivers years ago , you all insulted me , yet igbos lost their lives and till now nothing happened . Keep taking my analysis for joke as if you don’t understand how Government behaves . Tomorrow if protest turn another thing , i am still here” .
