Crude oil is crude and illegal if you try using it, in your car, or on your Airplane, until it is refined into premium motor spirit or jet fuel, respectively.
Kpofire, can be refined to kpofire refinery. It doesn’t cost much to construct. Unlike millions of dollars that was spent to maintained the so called Nigeria refineries that doesn’t yield anything.
Nigeria is one of the OPEC country that import 95 percent of her petroleum products for domestic use.
Nigeria should look inward for self reliance. If artisan in our locality can come-up with the idea of refining crude oil to kerosene, dessel even PMS for domestic use. If this process is refined and regulated, don’t you think Nigeria will be self reliance?
Kpofire is a local refinery, were local materials are constructed in a way that enable the heating of the crude oil to produce kerosene, dessel, and others.
This method, originated from the system used in the production of local gin, known as ( kaikai).
The production of kaikai is an age long process that has become part of the people, so, using this same method to refine crude oil becomes very easy for them.
Even the kaikai is classified as illicit drink, that is not fit for consumption. Why, all we produce is seen as inferior to what we import from foreign land?.
Can’t we look inward, refine what we already know, make it world standard and export it, for the good of the country?
Can’t kpofire become a Nigeria brand of world class refinery that refine crude oil in exportable quantity?
The kpofire operators are people that does not have support, no body is willing to invest in their operation, government agencies, like the Navy, Army, police and others are after them, they don’t have stability, yet they could refine the crude oil for domestic use.
What if they have the support of the government, investors to operate?.
Nigerian need re- orientation in all spheres and a little technical boost to stand as a self reliant nation.
Let government look inward, boost our inner strength that will yield capacity for the nation.
