Lagos DPO slumps, dies in office

Chief Superintendent of Police CSP, Bolaji Olugbenga, said to be the Divisional Police Officer (DPO) in charge of Ijanikin Police Station, has died.
Olugbenga reportedly slumped in his office on Thursday night and died before he could be taken to a hospital.
A police source said the sudden death of the Divisional Police Officer had thrown the officers at the station into mourning.
According to him, “CSP Olugbenga slumped in the office on Thursday and was quickly rushed to the hospital. Unfortunately, we lost him.”
The source stated that the deceased DPO’s body had been taken to a mortuary.
Meanwhile, as of the time of this report, the Lagos State Police Command’s spokesperson, SP Benjamin Hundeyin, had yet to issue any formal statement regarding the incident.
