N15m bribery allegation: Bobrisky mulls suicide, deletes Instagram posts

Popular cross-dresser Idris Okuneye, well known as Bobrisky, says he is considering suicide following a bribery allegation levelled against him by social media influencer Martins Vincent Otse, fondly called VeryDarkMan.
VeryDarkMan had released a video alleging that Bobrisky offered N15 million to the operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) to drop money laundering charges against him and evade his jail term at the Kirikiri Correctional Centre in Lagos State.
Bobrisky, in a post shared on his social media accounts on Wednesday, September 25, 2024, said he served his jail term and did not offer money to the EFCC officers.
The controversial celebrity added that the viral voice recording shared on social media by VeryDarkMan was fake.
However, Bobrisky, in a post shared on his Facebook account on Thursday, September 26, said he was considering suicide, citing attempts to belittle him.
He wrote: “I have never in my life thought about suicide in but now (it) is coming to my head seeing what human beings are doing to their fellow human just in the name you want to bring them down by force or because you don’t like them.
“I don’t need no sympathy from anyone. People I might have need [sic] sympathy from are my late parents. But who will fight for you? Friends? Haters, you won.”
Meanwhile, Bobrisksy has deleted all pictures and videos on his Instagram account.
Bobrisky regained freedom from the Kirikiri Correctional Centre in Lagos State on August 5, 2024, after he was sentenced to six months imprisonment over naira abuse.
The controversial celebrity, who was prosecuted by the EFCC, was sentenced to prison by the Federal High Court sitting in Lagos on April 12, 2024.
