Ogbe-Ijoh —The Planning Committee for the 8th Annual Convention of the National Association of Ogbe-Ijoh Warri Students (NAOWS) has received significant endorsements from prominent youth and community leaders of the Ogbe-Ijoh Warri Kingdom, signaling broad support for the forthcoming event.

Led by its Chairman, Comrade Collins Igbegbe, the committee on October 30, 2025, embarked on a series of consultative visits to three esteemed figures in the kingdom to present the convention blueprint and solicit their input and partnership.

The delegation was first hosted by Chief Gift Imoun Tolanghan, the Iyelawei of Ogbe-Ijoh Warri Kingdom, who warmly welcomed the team. Chief Tolanghan commended the committee for its proactive engagement and reaffirmed his unwavering belief in the unity and progress of Ogbe-Ijoh. Deeply impressed by the team’s initiative, Comr. Okunduopagha offered his endorsement and made a generous financial contribution to the convention’s success.

Rounding off the visits, the team paid a courtesy call on Hon. Preye Koremene, Councillor representing Ogbe-Ijoh Ward in Warri South West Local Government Area. Hon. Koremene, a known supporter of NAOWS activities, praised the committee’s strategic vision and reaffirmed his commitment to the association’s educational and developmental objectives.

In a statement signed by John Ikpidi Ware, Secretary of the Convention Planning Committee, NAOWS expressed gratitude to the leaders for their time, advice, and support.
