N’Delta group accuses Pres. Buhari led FG of restraining development in the Niger Delta,Calls for constitution of NDDC Board, confirmation of Dikio’s appointment

The Niger Delta liberation movement has accused the President Buhari administration of restraining the progress of the Presidential Amnesty programme (PAP) under the leadership of its interim administrator, Col. Milland Dixon Dikio (Rtd.)
The group also disparaged the continuous existence of a sole administrator in the NDDC, calling for immediate constitution of a substantive board.
The statement reads ” First, we wish to state that the forensic audit that was carried out in the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC), was concluded in a scheduled time within six (6) months. How is it that the Niger Delta Development Commission’s (NDDC), forensic audit has become an endless exercise, and still counting? We therefore call on President Buhari to immediately inaugurate a substantive board for the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC), for all inclusive participation of people in the region “
In an unusual press conference held in Ayama community, Southern-Ijaw LGA, the group while chanting war songs and pouring incantations, the president of the group, Gen. Oyinemi Michael Bodmas, said it was time to confirm the appointment of Col Dikio (rtd), also calling for the termination of the endless forensic audit in the NDDC”
.
Stressing that, ” We also frown and condemned the hijacking of the office of the Presidential Amnesty Programme (PAP), by northerners. The present Interim Administrator of the programme Col. Milland Dixon Dikio (Rtd.), is unfortunately controlled by the Fulani Caliphate. Based on this grim fact, and as in Interim status, therefore, he cannot perform to his full capacity. Col. Dikio (Rtd.), is adjudged and considered to be the best in term of prompt payment of the monthly stipend to beneficiaries’ delegates. Therefore, we call for his immediate confirmation without further delay in order for him to accomplish his vision for the programme ” the Statement added.
The group further reiterated that, they would take drastic actions to drive home their demands, cautioning against imposition of persons or bodies to run the affairs of the region, which they noted was detrimental to the generality of the people in the region.
