Suru Ebenezer, pastor incharge of RCCG Triumphant Parish, Bayelsa Province 2, Victorious Army Zone, has admonished persons intending to commit suicide to have a rethink, stressing that, the life they think they have is not their own.
” Nobody should think of commiting suicide, never thought of taking your life, you are not the one that put it there”
” I don’t know your age, because age is not a barrier, my father’s salary for 35 years in the civil service was N35,000 only, yet, he got married , had Children, trained all his children and build houses”
Pastor Suru in a sermon with the topic ” Why do we thank God” on the annual thanksgiving service of the parish on Sunday, said, ” what to thank God for, has no end”
” what God has done for us falls under unaccountable noun, he forgave our iniquity,he heals our diseases, infact, during the time of the COVID 19 pandemic, many of us here had COVID19 unknown to us.”
Ebenezer further reiterated that, we thank God,for what he is doing currently, ” do you know that is only the living that can talk about what is happening now, a living dog is better than a dead Lion.
Suru stressed that, we thank God for what is going to do, “God has not finish with you as long as you are still breathing, Jeremiah 29:11, he noted that, what he is going to do is a futuristic thing, is not a current thing, is a plan for the future. he noted.
