The Incidents occurred on Wednesday, when a train that was heading to Ujevwu train station in Delta state, from Itakpe train station in Kogi state stopped at Agenebode for hours causing serious abandonment to the passengers.
The passengers that were stranded in the Agenebode Train station for hours, complained bitterly to our correspondent who happens to be a passenger in the said train.
The passengers who were not given a proper explanation by the train management as to why they were aboundoned, midway to their destination, were seen loitering along the train station around 6:pm
Our correspondent who witnessed the incidents said, the train that stopped abruptly at the Agenebode station, detached it head, and started heading to Delta state without giving the passengers proper information as to why the train head was detached, the unfortunate passengers waited for so many hours with no train on sight.
The train returned after spending so many hours living the passengers stranded with a cargo train loaded with pipe.
Speaking with one of the passengers who was sitted by the side of the rail, “I don’t understand this country ohh! you carry people from a train station, you aboundoned them in this Forest when kidnaping is the order of the the day in this country”
“The Leaders of this country never take the citizens serious, we are like animals in their eyes, you can’t do this in other countries, is only in Nigeria you see this nonsense. If the train developed a fault is understandably, but now you keep passengers who pays money for your service without any pre-information, you keep them in the midst of nowhere, this is unacceptable”
