Oborevwori Commissions 12.1km Ogulagha–Okuntu–Odimodi Road, Pledges More Infrastructure for Delta Communities

Delta State Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, has commissioned the newly completed 12.1-kilometre Ogulagha–Okuntu–Odimodi Road, reaffirming his administration’s commitment to connecting rural and riverine communities through sustainable infrastructure.
Speaking during the inauguration on Thursday, Governor Oborevwori said the project aligns with his administration’s “Renewed Hope For More Agenda”, which prioritizes inclusive development and economic growth across the state.
> “Today, I commissioned the 12.1KM Ogulagha–Okuntu–Odimodi road project in line with our Renewed Hope For More Agenda vision, to connect our communities through quality road infrastructure that drives growth and development. This project will serve communities along this corridor and boost economic activities,” the governor said.
The road, which links several oil-producing and fishing communities in Burutu Local Government Area, is expected to enhance the movement of goods and services, ease access to schools and healthcare facilities, and open up the region to new investments.
Residents and community leaders lauded the state government for completing the project, describing it as a major relief after years of neglect and difficult travel conditions.
Governor Oborevwori reiterated that similar projects were ongoing across the three senatorial districts, emphasizing his administration’s resolve to deliver on its promises of “More Roads, More Jobs, and More Prosperity” for Deltans.
