Breaking: Muturu declears winner Phase II National Election, As Aso Tambou hands over power

The Peace Amb. Kingsley Muturu has been declared the winner of the phase II National Election.

The keenly contested election was held in Warri, Delta state, today, which comprises of four Aspirants, Olotu wanimi, Steven Ebisentei, Salvation Ibena Rufus and Kingsley Muturu the winner of the election.

The total accredited voters were 94 delegates, out of these 94 delegates, 67 were Delegates from Bayelsa state, while 27 were Delegates from Delta state, making it 94 total accredited voters.

Steven Ebisentei pulled 7 votes out of the 94 Votes, Olotu Wanimi pulled 7 votes, Salvation Rufus Ibena pulled 39 votes, while Amb. Kingsley Muturu Pulled 41 votes.

Kingsley Muturu, been the candidate with the highest number of votes was decleared winner of the election and return elected as the Chairman of Phase II Presidential Amnesty programme.

Speaking to Tarakirivoice correspondent, Aso Tambou, the former National Chairman of Phase II, congratulated the newly elected national leader and officially hand over power to him.

” As the former National Chairman of this group, the coalition of Niger-Delta Ex-agitators, presidential Amnesty Phase II, I want to make my official hand over to the leader elect, and if there is any group that is operating factionally, I am through this medium speaking to the Presidential Amnesty Office, That, the so called group should not be given recognition. Amb. Kingsley Muturu is the winner of the June 1st election and I hereby handover all documents to him as the duely elected National Chairman”.

Also speaking, Hon. Augustin Ogedegbe, congratulated the newly elected Chairman, Kingsley Muturu, described him as a credible leader who should lead the group.

“Today was a very busy day and of the tight schedule we feel that we should be at today’s election, especially to elect leader that we know that will pilot the affairs of phase II and things will take shape, a person that has a credible character that can work with the Presidential Amnesty office that there will be no issues, that issues will be resolved”

“We don’t want to elect a leader that provided His a phase II general, we want to elect a general with dignity and have been tested before, he has worked for us at the state level. And to Delta state and Bayelsa we all agreed he should be elected and today is a fantastic day, despite it suppose to be a thing of work over, they also decided that it should go by election which we did and as God may take his glory, we not just declare him winner but we decleared him winner because he got the highest vote”

“He scored 41 votes while the one next to him scored 39, the other two Aspirants Scored 7 each, Making it 94 delegates, these were the total number of people accredited.”So we thank God for his life, and congratulate him that he will continue to work for us, and we thank everyone that have left their busy schedules to come and vote, also I thank the former National Chairman who was present in the election ground and have handed over all the necessary documents to him as the new national Chairman of Phase II” he added.

The Mayor of Urhobo Land, His Excellency Israel Akpodoro also congratulated the winner of the election, Amb. Kingsley Muturu.

“People like us, we really came here to make sure a credible leader emerge for this position and we monitor everything, the foul play they wanted to play we stopped them, we did the election very peaceful and winner have emerged. I congratulate him and pray that he work for the good of everybody” he noted.

Amb. Kingsley Muturu on his part appreciated all the delegates who take out time on their busy schedules to come and vote for him.

” I want to use this medium to call on all my opponents to come and work with me to build Phase II together for our collective benefits. the elections are over, is time to work the talk” he stressed.
